On January 28, 2009, in conference hall of National Library of Belarus took place the board meeting of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus “The results of the Ministry of Culture institutions’ activity in 2008 and objectives for 2009 on realization of the program “Safekeeping and development of culture of the Republic of Belarus in 2006-2010”.
During the board meeting the results of the Ministry of Culture and its institutions’ activity were examined. Heads of cultural institutions, local government bodies and regional cultural administrations delivered their papers.
Participants of the meeting discussed the urgent issues and trends of Belarusian museum and library science, theatre, music, cinema and other fields of culture.
In the framework of the event in the lobby of the conference hall were organized exhibitions of the best printed and electronic publications by National Library of Belarus as well as illustrative materials by laureates of the Prize “For spiritual renaissance” and special Prizes of the president of the Republic of Belarus to cultural workers in 2008.
