The official delegation of Hanoi headed by the deputy first secretary of the Hanoi City Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Tao Duc Toan visited the Library on July 31.
In the framework of the visit, the delegation met with the executives of the National Library, when the participants discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and librarianship.
The first deputy director of the National Library of Belarus Elena Dolgopolova, deputy directors of the National Library of Belarus Tatyana Kuzminich and Alexander Susha shared their experience in managing of the library with the Vietnamese side, and acquainted members of the delegation with the history of the institution, its information resources and the potential of the country’s largest social and cultural centre.
There was a general excursion around the library building, which included a visit to the Round Hall and the Book Museum for distinguished guests. Participants of the delegation could evaluate unusual architectural solutions and interior design, as well as get acquainted with the history of Belarusian book culture. At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable presents.
