A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to July 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.

Working meeting with the leadership of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus

On May 23, representatives of the National Library held a working meeting with the leadership of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus consisting of Deputy Director General – Director for Science and Information Technologies Alexander Babuk, head of the information center Alla Sheremetyeva and Scientific Secretary Natalia Yesis.

On May 22, 2024, the presentation of the publication "For you, Belarus!" together with the publishing house "Mastatskaya litaratura", the richly illustrated literary and artistic publication "For you, Belarus!". It covers a significant period of Belarusian history, chronicles the struggle and liberation of 1941–1944, reflects the strength and defiance of the Belarusian people.

Modernity and the future of the Earth's population

From July 2 to August 5, in the documents of international rganizations of the National Library of Belarus (2nd floor, room 207g), a thematic book exhibition "Modernity and the future of the Earth's Population" takes place. The exhibition is dedicated to World Population Day, the 75th anniversary of the formation of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the 30th the anniversary of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and UNFPA .
