On the evening of January 1, 1919, the "Manifest of the Provisional Workers' and Peasants' Soviet Government of Belarus" was read out on the radio. This date is considered the date of the proclamation of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic (BSSR). 105 years is an entire epoch in Belarusian history, which became the foundation for modern Belarusian statehood.

Nina Kalyada was born in Vileika, Molodechno region (now Minsk region) in a worker's family. Having lost her parents early, the girl was raised in orphanages in Minsk from the age of 12.
